Li Xiufeng likes to paint Tibetan subjects, and most of her works also focus on the expression of Tibetan customs and folklore. Over the years, she has traveled countless times to the Tibetan-inhabited areas of Gannan, Northwest China’s Gansu Province and Qinghai Province as well as Southwest China’s Sichuan Province, getting close to them, observing them, and depicting them with an appreciative eye and a simple brush. Although it is impossible to communicate their spiritual world with words, she really feels the spiritual connotation of a great nation.



 
She praises the ethnic Tibetans. It is not only because they endure more trials and tribulations in the special natural environment in the northwest of the plateau, and their survival in the struggle with nature seems more tragic, but also because the nurturing of this side of the land and water has given this nation a unique and colorful folk custom.  And since  they are enveloped in the highly exaggerated and illusionary mysterious religious atmosphere, people everywhere feel all these are enveloped in the highly exaggerated mysterious religious atmosphere, which makes people experience solemnity and sacredness everywhere.




 
From the perspective of a female painter, she approaches them again and again, trying to bring her emotions closer to them in order to be in tune with them. She found that the other side of the life of such a rugged people is full of warm love. The hot eyes of the boys chasing the back of the girls, the frank but slightly shy when the girls spy on their lovers, and the slightly dull gaze on the faces of the old people who are full of vicissitudes, resolute and confident, full of love, praying for happiness and good fortune by the prayer wheel in the hands in silent rotation, with the desire and the pursuit of a better life shown between their brows.
