Recently, a taxi driver in Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, reported to the police that he encountered a murderer on the street. The police captured the "suspect," surnamed Bao, in a few minutes.

Bao then confessed that he is a livestream anchor, but he has only a few followers and fans.

In order to boost his popularity, Bao stopped a taxi with a shovel, claiming to have killed a person and threatening the driver to help him.

Seeing the taxi driver flee, Bao felt that he had gone too far, so he closed the livestream channel.

Bao was punished and fined according to the law.

In recent years, livestreaming has become more and more popular as it is easier to attract fans to earn money.

This unfortunately has also led many ill-intentioned people to go to extremes in order to gain popularity. Bao's actions have sparked widespread discussion and criticism online.

"Anchors with no bottom line like Bao will mislead the audience and should be banned," commented one netizen.

The official Weibo accounts of various local procuratorates also forwarded the news, warning netizens not to deliberately disturb public order.

"Such behavior will not only fail to attract audiences but will also get you in trouble. This case must be taken as a warning," another netizen wrote.
