The Supreme People’s Court of China on Wednesday released a document addressing strengthened blockchain applications in the judicial field, vowing to accelerate digital transformation supported with blockchain innovations.

The document includes plans to build a blockchain alliance that connects different industries with the country’s top court in a bid to improve the business environment, risk prevention, as well as economic and social development. 

The document also stipulates that courts ought to build an open and shared judicial blockchain platform among courts nationwide, and clarify the mechanism for official standards.

According to the document, the judicial blockchain platform will be used in multiple aspects linked to intellectual property, market regulation, data ownership and trade, financial institutions and other spheres.
