Safe Zone - Art exhibition

This event in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province is going to excite art fans. It is going to show artworks from four artists. Artworks from Andy Warhol - one of the US' most remembered and versatile creators - will lead the exhibition.

The other three artists are Daniel Arsham, Takeru Amano and Hikari Shimoda.

Amano is an artist who is an expert at using simple, straight lines and flat colors that deliver a very child-like sincerity to viewers.

Shimoda is an artist who likes to include a child-minded boy character in many of his works.

Also, you just can't miss out US artist Arsham! He has a very unique style that involves playing with materials and art genres.

He inlays mineral substances into sculptures that can clearly express a classic renaissance feel in a very careless, and even a bit more destructive, way to show a contemporary artist's reinterpretation of historical culture in the free-expression oriented art playground of today.

The artist is stylish and balances simplicity and philosophical depth in his works.

Plan B - Music gig

It comes as no surprise that more and more Chinese indie bands are starting to enter the public awareness, attracting passionate fans from different age groups. This is not only caused by various media influences and young fans' passion for modern Chinese music culture, but also brought about by the emergence of various music events providing platforms to indie bands.

This gig in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality is just one of these events.

The event features bands such as Slurry Ice, a fairly new band formed in 2018 in Fuzhou, East China's Fujian Province.

Their music style is sweet and melodic and fuses subgenre styles such as dream pop and acid jazz. Another Chinese band, The Times, will also perform their retro music pieces that deliver 1980s' funk and jazz vibes, and also danceable disco elements.

The gig aims to encourage fans to keep being positive about the future and believing in humanity even when facing traumatic events such as war, disease and unpredictable accidents.
