A: I want to buy a humidifier, do you have any recommendations?

B: I don't know much about humidifiers, what are they?

A: A humidifier is a household appliance that increases a room's humidity so people in the room feel more comfortable.    

加湿器是一种增加房间湿度的家用电器,让人在房间里更加舒服。

(jiāshīqì shì yīzhǒnɡ zēnɡjiā fánɡjiān shīdù de jiāyònɡ diànqì, rànɡ rénzài fánɡjiānlǐ ɡènɡjiā shūfú.)

B: So what should I pay attention to when using a humidifier?  

那使用加湿器的时候该注意什么呢？

A: The most important thing is that you have to clean it regularly. If you don't  clean it, the microorganisms like mold in the humidifier will enter the air through the steam and lead to people getting respiratory diseases. 

最重要的是一定要定期清理加湿器。如果不清理的话,加湿器中的霉菌等微生物随着汽雾进入空气,很容易让人患上呼吸道疾病。
