The emergence of robot vacuums promises to make our life more convenient, but accidents are inevitable. On Wednesday night, a man surnamed Yao, living in Beijing with his pets, opened the door of his apartment only to be suddenly hit by a pungent smell coming from the adjacent space. What had happened was that his dogs had pooped on the floor and the man's tireless robot vacuum attempted to clean up the mess by sipping it and later dragging it all over the place.

According to Yao, he keeps three dogs and two robots in the house. One robot vacuum is used for mopping while the other is used for sweeping. When the two robots finish the work, they will go back to their base stations automatically. This time, after the attempted poop "cleaning," the base station was filled with dog poop as well. Yao said that he had to clean the apartment and spray deodorant around for two hours to try and get the smell out. On Thursday, the whole room was filled with an unbearable mix of deodorant and poop aroma. "I feel like I can barely live here anymore," complained Yao.

Yao published a video online telling about his misadventure and asking for help. While feeling sorry for what he went through, some netizens commented on the video by saying that they have had the same experience. "The same happened to me a few days ago. Fortunately, I found it out early enough, so there wasn't a huge area to clean up, but the smell was horrible," one netizen said. "I feel sorry for him, but I can't help laughing," another netizen joked.
