reed diffuser / 无火香薰 / (wúhuǒ xiānɡxūn)

A: I have a good female friend who is about to celebrate her birthday. What present do you think I should give her?  

我有一个要好的女性朋友马上要过生日了。你说我应该送她什么礼物呢？

B: It's difficult to say, but reed diffusers have become very popular recently, you know. Maybe you could consider buying one.     

这可不好说,但你知道最近无火香薰非常热门,也许你可以考虑一下。

(zhè kěbùhǎo shuō, dàn nǐ zhīdào zuìjìn wúhuǒ xiānɡxūn fēichánɡ rèmén, yěxǔ nǐ kěyǐ kǎolǜ yīxià.)

A: I think a household item is not a bad choice, but what is a reed diffuser? 

我觉得送居家用品是不错的选择,但什么是无火香薰呢？

B: As the name suggests, reed diffusers use absorptive materials, like cotton threads or reeds, to diffuse essential oils into the air.  

顾名思义,无火香薰是通过吸附性较好的物体,例如棉绳和藤条作为介体,让精油被其吸收再挥发扩散到空气中。

B: There are a lot of choices. For instance, fig, lavender, the classic rose scent and also the refreshing lemon scents.
