Big Plate Chicken / 大盘鸡/ (dàpánjī)

A: Since you are from Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, can you introduce to me some local gourmet food?

B: Speaking of Xinjiang speciality, the first thing I think of is Big Plate Chicken.

说起新疆特色美食,我首先想到的是大盘鸡。

(shuōqǐ xīnjiānɡ tèsè měishí, wǒ shǒuxiān xiǎnɡdào deshì dàpánjī.) 

A: What is Big Plate Chicken like? Can you tell me about it?

大盘鸡是什么样的呢？你能给我讲讲吗？

(dàpánjī shì shénmeyànɡ de ne? nǐnénɡ ɡěiwǒ jiǎnɡjiǎnɡ ma?)

B: Big Plate Chicken is made of chicken and potatoes as main ingredients mixed with spicy pepper stew. Served with Xinjiang flat noodles, it has a thick stew,  and it is spicy hot with a great flavor. 

大盘鸡由鸡块和土豆为主料,夹杂辣椒炒炖而成,配上新疆皮带面,汤汁浓郁,鲜香麻辣,味道好极了。

(dàpánjī yóu jīkuài hé tǔdòu wéi zhǔliào, jiāzá làjiāo chǎodùn érchénɡ, pèishànɡ xīnjiānɡ pídài miàn, tānɡzhī nónɡyù, xiānxiānɡ málà, wèidào hǎojíle.)

A: Big Plate Chicken sounds really tempting. I want to give it a try if there's a chance.

大盘鸡听上去可真诱人啊,有机会我一定要品尝一下。

(dàpánjī tīnɡshànɡqù kě zhēn yòurén ā, yǒu jīhuì wǒ yīdìnɡ yào pǐnchánɡ yīxià.)
