During the trial of a case about opening a casino on July 29 at Liling City Court, Central China's Hunan Province, the police handling the case noticed an auditor there looked familiar. Then the police confirmed that the person was the fugitive, surnamed Xiao in the case.

Xiao was found to pick up gamblers and stand sentry to watch for police, given that casinos are illegal in the Chinese mainland. As soon as the trial was over, Xiao was arrested on the spot. At present, Xiao is under criminal detention on suspicion of opening a casino, and the case is still in further investigation.
