China successfully launched the fourth group of the Yaogan-35 family of remote sensing satellites from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Southwest China's Sichuan Province on Saturday morning. The satellites were launched at 1:37am (Beijing Time) by a Long March-2D carrier rocket and entered the planned orbit successfully. The satellites will carry out scientific experiments, survey land resources, forecast agricultural yields and help with disaster prevention and relief.
