The first urban culture art fair in China, the U3 Art Fair, has been scheduled to kick off on October 19 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Discussing how art empowers the urban cultural industry, the art fair has invited more than 100 art institutions, galleries and brands around the world to attend the event.

Co-presented by Young Talent Media and Eastern Suburb Memory, the art fair themed "Urban Art, Youthful Cities" showcases vibrant art, culture and lifestyles in the context of the popularization of art.

Some believe that urban culture will become the largest consumer market over the next 10 years, which will not only bring wealth but also generate new creations in culture and art. Focusing on urban culture, the U3 Art Fair breaks free from the traditional frame where art fairs function as a platform to exhibit and sell artworks. Instead, it presents a culture feast to be enjoyed by all.

The first U3 Art Fair will be separated into three units: the Gallery Unit, New Art Unit and Urban Culture Crossover Unit. Galleries in Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu will participate in the art fair, as well as overseas galleries from Tokyo, Moscow and London.

The U3 Art Fair will be held in the Eastern Suburb Memory. From "manufacturing factory" to "fashion factory," it is a gathering place for creative minds, music performances and trendy culture.

With a main exhibition area of 10,000 square meters, the U3 Art Fair is expected to attract nearly 100,000 visitors on site.

The five-day art fair is set to end on October 23.
