Given the scorching weather in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, a merchant had a freezer set up in front of her store to provide free cold drinks for sanitation workers, delivery clerks, and traffic policemen in the city. Surprisingly, a day later, more water was in the freezer.

The merchant checked the monitoring recording and found a man took one bottle of water from the freezer, but put a dozen of it back. Another warm-hearted man didn't drink any water but directly put a bottle of water into the freezer and left. "Chengdu is a lovely city, and there are lots of nice people," said the merchant, "so I want to contribute to it."

Many netizens were moved by the sweet scenes and praised people's kindness in the society. Others also suggested that the merchant should keep an eye on the water people put into the freezer to ensure food safety.
