A woman surnamed Li, 56, from East China's Anhui Province, has begun to feel her features distorted and her hands and feet enlarged since 10 years ago. She always thought it was due to weight gain.

Recently, she went to the hospital for examination because of abnormal blood pressure, only to find that a special type of brain tumor has grown in her brain. The tumor, which can result in heavy hands and feet, prominent cheekbones and other appearance changes, could be life-threatening if the patient did not receive medical treatment in time, doctors said.

Luckily, local hospital used a minimally invasive technique to remove the tumor from Li's brain successfully with the assistance of neuroendoscopy. After the operation, Li has resumed her normal life.
