The association has seen its membership grow from 40 to 1,249 during this time, making it a major force for traditional calligraphy in the Yangtze River Delta.

Wuxi, a city located in East China's Jiangsu Province, also sits next to the famous Taihu Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes in China.

Considered a cradle of art, the lakeside city is home to traditional Chinese calligraphy and paintings.
