A senior Chinese official reaffirmed China's willingness to welcome global investors and make greater contributions to the world's economic recovery, as the country clings to opening-up policies despite fluctuation in global geo-political situation.
China is willing to provide a first-class business environment for countries from across the world to invest and start business in China, as well as push service trade to develop in a healthy and sustainable manner, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said on Friday during a press conference.
The country is also ready to work with all sides to implement a global development initiative and hold the belief of building a community of shared future for mankind, he noted.
During the conference, Zhao introduced details of the 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), which was held in Beijing between Wednesday and Monday.
According to him, a total of 72 countries and international organizations have set up exhibitions and held meetings by Thursday, of which 10 countries have organized exhibitions in the name of countries for the first time.
Besides, more than 2,400 enterprises including companies on Fortune's Global 500 listand industry leaders participated inthis year's CIFTIS.
"The CIFTIS has become the largest comprehensive exhibition in the field of global services trade, and has provided a platform for countries to carry out services trade and investment cooperation with China," he said.
China's trade in services continued to surge rapidly in 2021, with total trade volume of services reaching about 5.3 trillion yuan ($767 billion), according to data released during a press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce.
Zhao revealed that a number of exhibitions and forums will be held during the CIFTIS, including comprehensive/special exhibitions, summit forums and so forth.
