A famous painting of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) The Autumn Landscape, a national treasure on loan from the Palace Museum in Beijing, is on display in Hong Kong Palace Museum. A steady stream of visitors came to see the painting, which sets off a cultural heritage boom in Hong Kong SAR.

The Autumn Landscape depicts the scenery of mountains and rivers in  northern China and expresses the painter Zhao Boju's deep feeling toward the loss of his homeland.

A Hong Kong resident who viewed the painting said that the painter used his brush to depict the landscape by heart, and today we can also feel the mountains and rivers of the motherland in our way.

"The state's top-level cultural relics like The Autumn Landscape are rarely exhibited, and now people in Hong Kong are lucky to have a glimpse of this painting," said Ng Chi-wa, director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum.

We hope that more people will come to Hong Kong to experience traditional culture and make Hong Kong the outpost to showcase Chinese civilization, Ng added.
