A 45-year-old fisherman used a maritime satellite for the first time to live broadcast fishing in the East China Sea, which attracted the attention of netizens. Scenes of the blue sea and the deep-sea fishing were shown to the public through his lens.
From the fishermen pulling the net to the lively fish and shrimp lying on the deck, these scenes were recorded by Chen Qingjun, the fisherman and live broadcaster of sea fishing, with his camera.
"I've been on the boat for almost 30 years since I graduated from junior high school," said Chen, who chose to be a fisherman despite pursuing other careers in between.
Chen said he started live-streaming seafood two months ago. "It's hard for fishermen to go out to sea to catch fish, and I hope to increase our income in this way and also let more people have the opportunity to enjoy fresh seafood."
"I was astounded to see the deep-sea fishing for the first time through live streaming, and I also felt that the works of fishermen are really tough," one netizen said.
