China firmly opposed some Western countries including the US disseminating false information against other countries for political purposes and interfering in other countries' internal affairs under the guise of human rights, and called for true multilateralism practice at an interactive dialogue with the Independent Expert on the promotion of a democratic and equitable international order, 51st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council on Monday.

Multilateralism is the core concept of the current international system and global order, as well as an effective way to maintain peace and promote development. The international community should uphold and practice true multilateralism, oppose hegemony and bloc politics, and oppose unilateral sanctions and "long-arm jurisdiction," the Chinese representative said.

Some Western countries including the US fabricate and disseminate false information against other countries for political purposes, wantonly interfere in the internal affairs of other countries under the guise of human rights, and abuse unilateral coercive measures, said the Chinese representative. The action seriously violates the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and undermines multilateralism and international rules, and the international community should resist this practice and the tendency of politicization and instrumentalization of human rights issues together, according to the Chinese representative.

China has initiated the Global Security Initiative, pointing out the paths to address the peace deficit and solve the global security dilemma. All the states should replace confrontation with dialogue, coercion with consultation, alliances with partnership, zero-sum with win-win, and put indivisible security principle in practice, and focus on each other's legitimate security concerns, to push forward a balanced, effective and sustainable security architecture, said the Chinese representative.

China is ready to work with other countries to uphold the common values of peace, development, equity, justice, democracy and freedom, practice true multilateralism and implement Global Security Initiatives, and build a community with a shared future for mankind.
