A video of an English teacher of a junior high school in Wenshan, Southwest China's Yunnan Province, combining local folk songs with English teaching has gone viral online, with many netizens expressing their admiration for such an interesting class.

In the video, a young female teacher leads the students to sing a Yunnan folk song with English grammar points. "The knowledge is a little boring for students, and I hope it will be better accepted by them in this way," the teacher said.

"I grew up listening to Yunnan folk songs and I liked it very much," said the teacher, noting that she hopes she can not only bring the beauty of traditional Chinese culture to students, but also help them learn new knowledge.

"If I could study in such a class, I might be able to get better grades," said one netizen on the Chinese social media Sina Weibo, admiring the relaxed and fun atmosphere of those students in Wenshan.
