An event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the arrival of the first giant pandas from China to Japan is held at Ueno Park, Tokyo on October 26. The pandas arrived in Japan in 1972 to commemorate the normalization of bilateral relations. There are currently 13 pandas in Japan, 3 of them are living at Ueno Park. Photo: VCG
