When Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu met with Igor Morgulov, Russia's new ambassador to China, on Monday, both sides vowed to maintain closer exchanges and cooperation in all fields and further deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between Russia and China for a new era.
Ma welcomed Morgulov to take office in China and introduced to the ambassador the main achievements and great significance of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Ma said that under the strategic guidance of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, China-Russia relations have maintained a positive momentum of development, and comprehensive strategic coordination has been operating at a high level, setting a good example of contemporary major-country relations.
China is willing to advance exchanges and cooperation with Russia in various fields, further enhance strategic mutual trust and coordination and push China-Russia relations to a new level for a new era, Ma said.
Morgulov warmly congratulated the successful convening of the 20th CPC Congress, saying that Russia is willing to work with China to fully implement the consensus reached by the leaders of two countries, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in all fields and further deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between Russia and China in the new era.
