A young dessert chef in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, has combined well-known Chinese calligraphy with cake to make the dessert special, which received a lot of praise and likes from netizens on Chinese social media.

The dessert chef surnamed Huang said that he has always been fond of traditions, and also has the habit of practicing calligraphy, so he came up with the idea of combining calligraphy with cakes.

He used fondant crust instead of rice paper, and edible coloring instead of ink, and wrote an excerpt of "the Preface to Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion" (also known as Lanting Xu) on the cake. Lanting Xu is one of the most well-known works of Chinese calligraphy work written by the famous calligrapher Wang Xizhi (303-361) from the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420).

A netizen wrote in the comments on the Chinese social media platform Sina Weibo that he is so envious of such ingenious people who can transform all kinds of wonderful ideas into real objects. "No one would be willing to eat such a beautiful cake," said another.

In recent years, Music, TV dramas and even desserts, which are the favorite to young people, perfectly integrate traditional Chinese culture into them.
