An infrared camera at a state-owned forest farm in Mianyang, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, has captured images of a wild pregnant giant panda. It is the first time a pregnant giant panda has been filmed in the wild in this region.

It can be clearly seen in the video that this bloated giant panda is moving in slow steps and lethargic movement, looking very lazy. "Judging by its bulging belly and slow pace, it is a pregnant giant panda," said a staff member at the forest farm.

This is the first time a pregnant wild panda has been photographed since the forest farm began an infrared camera detection program, said the staff member, adding that the forest farm is the core area for activities of giant pandas.

The 10 infrared real-time transmission cameras installed in the forest farm not only captured giant pandas, but also captured more than 20 rare wild animals, including golden monkeys, porcupine and ocelots.
