A man surnamed Nie, found a round "strange rock" when he had a mountain trip in Bijie, Southwest China's Guizhou Province on Tuesday. Nie was curious about the rock and decided to dig it up. To his surprise, the rock was wrapped in many layers like a peeled onion, and it was shiny even after being unwrapped.
"It looks like a dinosaur egg. I wanted to dig the entire rock out," said Nie. After breaking off the layers, the solid core in the middle of the rock was green, which made Nie feel the magic and greatness of nature.
Regarding the stone's formation, an expert surnamed Wang drew a preliminary conclusion that the rock should be a bullion fossil with layers accumulation. It is estimated that the layers should be historical deposits that take millions of years. Netizens marveled at the wonders of the world and wished to learn more about the fossils after experts examine the rock on site.
