Yang Yang, a teacher at a university in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, is now a state-funded doctoral student in Hungary. In her spare time, she works as a TCSL (Teaching Chinese as a Second Language) teacher to make people feel the charm of Chinese characters, and she shoots videos about Chinese culture to spread it to locals.
At each of the 24 solar terms that signify natural phenomena, Yang would record videos of classical Chinese dances or folk dances, or playing Yangqin, a traditional Chinese instrument.
She would also wear traditional clothing of Han ethnic group with her foreign students on the streets.
"I love my culture, and I am really proud of being a Chinese," said Yang, "I enjoy inter-cultural communication and also want to know more about other cultures."
Yang said she hoped more overseas students can join her in showing China to the world.
Some Chinese students studying abroad said they would learn from Yang and make people around them learn more about China.
