A: You are always on time, why were you late to work today? 

你一向都很准时,今天上班怎么迟到了？

(nǐ yīxiànɡ dōu hěn zhǔnshí, jīntiān shànɡbān zěnme chídào le?)

B: Don't say a word, I ran into a wedding car fleet on my way to work today. They drove very slowly and I was stuck behind them so I was late.  

你可别提了,我今天在路上遇到一队婚车车队,它们在前面缓慢行驶,我跟在后面所以迟到了。

(nǐ kě biétí le, wǒ jīntiān zài lùshànɡ yùdào yīduì hūnchē chēduì, tāmén zài qiánmiàn huǎnmàn xínɡshǐ, wǒ ɡēnzài hòumiàn suǒyǐ chídào le.)

A: This reminds me of a news report. In Dalian, Liaoning Province, a wedding car fleet took up three lanes and drove very slowly, not letting anyone pass. 

你这么一说让我想到一则新闻,在辽宁大连,有一队婚车车队占了三条车道低速行驶,还不让超车。

(nǐ zhème yīshuō rànɡwǒ xiǎnɡdào yīzé xīnwén, zài liáonínɡ dàlián, yǒu yīduì hūnchē chēduì zhànle sāntiáo chēdào dīsù xínɡshǐ, hái bùrànɡ chāochē.)

B: I think the drivers behind this fleet were really unlucky.  

要我说,跟在这车队后面的司机可算是倒霉了。

(yào wǒshuō, ɡēnzài zhè chēduì hòumiàn de sījī kěsuànshì dǎoméi le.)

A: Yup. A lot of cars behind them honked their horns to get their attention, but when that didn't work, some drivers decided to call the police. In the end, after mediation by police, the wedding car drivers apologized

没错,有多辆跟在后面的车鸣笛提醒该婚车车队无果后,有司机选择了报警。最后,在警察的调解下,婚车司机向大家道了歉。

(méicuò, yǒu duōliànɡ ɡēnzài hòumiàn de chē mínɡdí tíxǐnɡ ɡāi hūnchē chēduì wúɡuǒhòu, yǒu sījī xuǎnzé le bàojǐnɡ.zuìhòu, zài jǐnɡchá de tiàojiě xià, hūnchē sījī xiànɡ dàjiā dàole qiàn.)

B:I hope that wedding car fleet got a suitable warning and punishment. Also, I think wantonly taking over car lanes is against traffic laws. 

我希望该婚车车队得到相应的警告和处罚, 并且我觉得任性占用车道就是违反交通法规。
