Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant in Central China’s Henan Province launched new bonus plans for its existing workers with high attendance rate, and relevant allowance plans to attract its former employees to come back working, its latest notices showed. Such efforts followed bonus plans in the beginning of November, which analysts said the company aims to resume capacity as soon as possible amid COVID-19 outbreak. 

The company will offer a one-time bonus of 500 yuan ($69.8) for former employees who left Zhengzhou plant during the period from October 1 to November 10 and who now return to work, according to a WeChat post from the company's iDPBG group released on Sunday.

Those who return and will work for more than seven days will enjoy another bonus of 30 yuan per hour, which will last for 60 days from December and will be handed out with salaries, according to Foxconn. It means that an employee who works five days a week, eight hours a day will get a bonus totaling 9,600 yuan.

In addition, for those former employees who now stay for more than 30 days at the plant, another subsidy of 3,000 yuan will be handed out.

Foxconn will also offer an allowance of 3,000 yuan for those under closed-loop management in December. For anyone who is under the closed-loop management and is quarantined due to the epidemic, a leave will be granted and the allowance will be still handed out if the employee will come back working for over five days after the quarantine is over.

What’s more, a bonus of 6,000 yuan will be given to these employees as New Year gift in January.

Existing workers will also enjoy a package of bonuses, according to a WeChat post from Foxconn's iDPBG group released on Saturday.

The same 3,000-yuan allowance for closed-loop management will also be given to existing employees.

For those workers, whose attendance working days range from 10 to 14 days and who joined Foxconn before November 1, a bonus of 8,000 yuan will be handed out for formal employees and 4,000 yuan for dispatched workers. The bonus period will start from December 6 until the end of the month.

With 15-20 attendance working days, workers will enjoy a bonus of 9,000 yuan, and 5,000 yuan for dispatched workers. A formal worker will receive 10,000 yuan with over 21 days present at duty, and a dispatched worker can receive 6,000 yuan under the same circumstances.

Existing employees will also enjoy the same kind of granted leave if they were quarantined. And they will enjoy another 400 yuan per day during quarantine, said Foxconn.
