Reports that Wuhan Business College in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province, prepared a gift package of snacks worth more than 100 yuan ($14) for each student ahead of the upcoming holiday attracted wide attention on Chinese social media platforms.
According to Li, a student from the college, the gift bag contains nine items, including potato chips, cookies and self-heating instant rice.
"We students like this gift very much," Li said. "I believe the school staff members must have prepared all these bags for a long time, making our upcoming winter holiday more comfortable."
According to open data, Wuhan Business College has more than 10,000 students.
As 2022 draws to a close, several universities announced dates of their winter holiday. As the temperature in Wuhan falls very fast and capping off what has been an unseasonably cool year, many schools choose to start the winter holiday early to ensure the safety of students.
