When Lu helped her family to harvest vegetables in Qujing, Southwest China's Yunnan Province on Sunday, she surprisingly found that the radish she dug up were unusually thick and strong, even reaching the height of her shoulders. Suddenly, a 1.5-meter-tall white radish caught everyone's attention.

According to Lu, the radish has grown for about four to five months and weighs around 15 kilograms.

Lu said that the white radish was grown from normal seeds, but the local soil is relatively fertile, which is why they can grow such a large radish.In fact, 20 percent of the radishes in the family field are similar in size, Lu noted.

Netizens were shocked by the giant size of the white radish, with some wondering that if this white radish is big enough for the whole village to make dishes while others expressed their envy for such a fertile land. “I can imagine how happy people living there could be. Even white radishes can grow so well, people there must enjoy a healthy and interesting life,” a netizen said.
