Salt crystals form on the Salt Lake in Yuncheng City, north China's Shanxi Province, Dec. 12, 2022. (Photo/VCG) Mirabilite rime is formed when mirabilite crystalizes at a low temperature. The Salt Lake of Yuncheng, a typical inland saltwater lake, is the world's third largest sodium sulphate inland lake. Due to its high saltness, it is also called the Dead Sea of China.
