It seems the old saying that "finding a policeman for help when you are in trouble" holds true not just for Chinese residents, but also in the animal world. On New Year's Day, two snow leopards wandered into a battalion in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. One cased the site, the other stood as sentry, and the two worked together to steal chickens outdoors. The careful and adorable appearance of the two snow leopards under surveillance has amused many Chinese netizens.

According to an officer at the camp, he was on duty in the control room when the infrared monitoring alarm rang and he saw two "giant cats" moving in the shadows. Having identified that the two "thieves" were snow leopards, he immediately reported the situation. "Perhaps knowing that the Spring Festival is coming soon, these two clever snow leopards also began to prepare a feast," a netizen joked, while others saying the images of locals living in harmony with nature were beautiful. "It is not easy to find food in the snow winter, even so the soldiers did not drive them away. This is also a kind of warm company," another netizen said.
