New suspense TV seriesReleased on January 16, Why Try to Change Me Now, an adaptation of the novel of the same name, is a 6-episode TV series that tells a suspenseful story about an investigation into the murder of a taxi driver.
The main character, police officer Zhuang Shu, is in charge of investigating the case, which took place seven years ago. As the investigation unfolds, he sadly discovers that he may have been involved in the tragedy.
The TV series gives a completely different feel from the suspense that streaming site iQIYI has aired in the past; there is no obvious narrative conflict and the rhythm of the story is a bit slow.
It has been selected for the Berlinale Series section of the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival, becoming the first Chinese language drama series to be chosen for this section.
"This is international recognition of contemporary Chinese dramas. We hope more outstanding Chinese creations can be seen by the world and shine on the international stage," said Wang Xiaohui, CCO of iQIYI.

Deep Sea, released on January 22, has captured moviegoers' attention with its incredibly beautiful scenes integrating Chinese traditional ink paintings and bold colors.
The film tells the story of a little girl who accidentally drowns and enters a fantasy world, where she meets friends while sailing in the deep sea.
The production team spent two years exploring the new technique they call "particle ink." The technique presents Chinese two-dimensional ink paintings in 3D, injecting new vitality into the traditional art.
"Every frame is beautiful, the story concept is very good, and the ending is good," commented one fan on review site Douban, adding that it's worth recommending to others.
