Two drug cases handled in 2 hours in Yunnan close to Golden Triangle

Police in Southwest China's Yunnan Province recently carried out two drug busts in just two hours, capturing more than 10 kilograms of methamphetamine and arresting two suspects.

Pu'er is a city of Yunnan bordering three countries of Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar close to the Golden Triangle, known as the place with most of the world's illicit opium.

One case was occured in Lancang county where a pickup truck rammed through a police inspection point in an attempt to evade inspection on February 5, later around 9 pm, two people were pulled from the truck by the police. Ten cubes of methamphetamine  wrapped with yellow packaging tape were discovered. 

Another case was happened around 10 pm on the same day in Menglian county with eight cubes of meth weighing 4.5 kilograms. The two cases are now under investigation.
