"Temple tourism" is becoming increasingly popular among young people. In addition to seaside resorts, theme parks and other tourist attractions, more and more young people rely on temples to relax their body and minds.

Statistics show that among those who booked tickets for the temple attractions since February, people born after 1990 and 2000 accounted for 50 percent. Young people are becoming the main force in lighting the joss sticks in temples. According to tourist platforms, in addition to national holidays, the average daily order volume of temple-related scenic spot tickets on weekends in the past three months has doubled compared with that on weekdays. Besides, ticket orders for temple-related scenic spots have increased by 310 percent year-on-year since the beginning of 2023. The most popular temple scenic spots include the Lingyin Temple, the Hanshan Temple, the Lama Temple, and the Potala Palace.
