Space Vegetable Capsule created by Zhang Ruiqi, a senior student in Hefei No. 7 High School, East China's Anhui Province, stood out from thousands of works across the country, representing the city in China Space Station about 400 kilometers from the Earth.
"Growing vegetables in space is no longer a fantasy. With the completion of the National Space Laboratory, more impossible things will become possible in the future," said Zhang Lu, the taikonaut of Shenzhou-15 manned spacecraft.
On January 21, the second art exhibition opened at the China Space Station, featuring 40 paintings created by young people from 17 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions and Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions. Each painting depicts teenager's yearning to learn about the vast space. "Such activities can not only make children more passionate about learning aerospace knowledge, but also stimulate children's creativity and encourage them to explore more in the future," a netizen said.
