The peak season for taking the National Public Servant Exam is coming. Many people at the moment are still working hard, immersing themselves in testing and revision. However, some dogs have already changed their lives from stray dogs to police hounds.
Three years ago, an uninvited guest broke into the dormitory of the special police forces in Xichuan county, Central China's Henan Province: a cute puppy.
The police officers made repeated attempts to send the dog away, but the dog continued to creep through the gap in the gate as if he were a member of the team.
Resignedly, the team adopted this "persistent" dog, and named it "Ba Wan." At first, officers were concerned that Ba Wan might be a stray dog and tried to help him track down his owner by posting information about his disappearance.
But after months of no claims, the police team decided to officially adopt him.
After a few simple tests, Ba Wan turned out to be a perfect candidate to become a police dog. Not only that, Ba Wan was a horse dog, a natural breed for police dogs. So, the dog trainer in the team decided to give Ba Wan a chance and took him to start training at the base.
After months of hard training, Ba Wan passed all his tests and successfully became an official police dog.
Since then, the stray dog Ba Wan officially has his own police uniform and number, becoming an active police dog.
