A young man from Zhangzhou, East China's Fujian Province rode an electric bike to deliver medicine to his female cyber friend in South China's Hainan Province, which would require him to travel for three days without eating or drinking along the way.

Law enforcement officers on the Zhangzhou expressway stopped the young man riding an electric motorcycle during a routine check when he was spotted mingling with motor vehicles.

Upon further questioning, law enforcement officials learned that the young man had just turned 18 years old.

He became extremely worried after learning his chatter was ill and made the impulsive decision to bring her some medicine. Following the guidance of smartphone navigation, he rode his electric bike straight toward Hainan, only to unintentionally enter the highway.

Zhangzhou, where the man lives, is more than 1,100km from Haikou in Hainan and it takes 13 hours to reach by car.

"Hasn't he considered the possibility that his cyber friend might recover from the cold before he arrives with the medicine?" a netizen commented below this new article on social media.
