The US law enforcement staff used entrapment operation to induce and arrest Chinese entities and individuals. This is a typical case of arbitrary detention and unilateral sanction, which is totally illegal. The move has seriously damaged Chinese citizens’ basic human rights and Chinese companies’ interests. China strongly condemns the move and lodges stern representations and strong protests, Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Saturday as US Justice Department announced the arrest of two individuals and the unsealing of three indictments charging China-based companies and their employees with crimes related to fentanyl production, distribution and sales resulting from precursor chemicals.
