Recently, a wildlife park in Yancheng, East China's Jiangsu Province was fined 250,000 yuan ($34,925) by the Market Supervision Administration of Wujin district in Changzhou city for violating the advertising law.

Details of the penalty show that in April this year, the zoo had planned to advertise an activity that offered participators a 100,000-yuan reward for living with a tiger for one hour. According to the staff members of the zoo, they originally intended to control the white tiger in the designated area to ensure the safety of the experience, and invited the relevant departments to the site to assess the situation. However, as the white tiger itself is a wild animal, it instantly tore the tent to shreds during the test, therefore they did not actually carry out the activity on that day. On April 2, the party issued an announcement of the suspension of the activity. The zoo was widely criticized for using the prize money to induce tourists to participate in dangerous cultural and sports activities, causing an adverse social impact, contrary to social order and morals.

Netizens said that in order to get the prize money and disregard for life safety is absurd, in any case, safety should be put first.
