When the news that people who have pre-ordered Huawei's Mate 60 Pro could pick up their new phone on Sunday hit the internet, it immediately triggered a buying spree among Chinese consumers, with long queues appearing at Huawei stores across major Chinese cities. "Do you have Mate 60 Pro in stock?" has become the most asked question in these stores. 

On the second day after sales of the phone began, staff at the Huawei flagship store on Nanjing East Road in Shanghai told media that they were already out of stock and new consumers had to wait for one to two weeks to get theirs.
