A new exhibition featuring Russian paintings has inaugurated the new international culture park in Beijing, known as the Louis O'Or International Culture Park.
Curated by Gao Ling, an art critic and professor at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, this exhibition brings together collections amassed by collector Liu Mingxiu over the past 35 years. It serves as a testament to the creative accomplishments of Russian artists in the realm of painting.
Gao Ling emphasizes the enduring influence of the creative principles of socialist realism, which originated in the former Soviet Union, on China's own artistic legacy. This exhibition offers insight into the dynamic interplay between artistic traditions and contemporary realities, a principle shared by both Chinese and Russian art.
Russian art has enjoyed a longstanding popularity among Chinese audiences. The exhibition will be open to the public until October 23.
