The National Museum of China is hosting a new special exhibition featuring masters in various areas like the fine arts, literature and architecture. The new exhibition, which occupies two exhibition halls at the museum over six sections, includes over 350 items carefully selected by the National Museum of China.

These precious art treasures include Qi Baishi's painting Pine, Crane and the Rising Sun and Xu Beihong's painting Jiu Fang Gao, or Horse Master as well as literature giant Lu Xun's manuscripts, musician Xian Xinghai's music scores and personal letters from writers Cao Yu and Li Siguang.

Together with their life items, videos and photos, the exhibition aims to give a full picture of these Chinese masters.

According to Wang Chunfa, director of the National Museum of China, the exhibition, based on the documentary series, offers visitors a chance to get close to 100 masters who made great contributions to Chinese culture.
