The urban landscape paintings of Yang Liuyi, featuring the Beijing Central Axis and its surrounding scenic spots, are on display in Beijing.

The exhibition showcases more than 80 masterpieces by Yang, a renowned painter.

The Beijing Central Axis is a 7.8-kilometer-long "ruler" that runs from north to south in the heart of the Chinese capital, marking the progress of China's development and supporting the city's growth like a backbone.

It is not only a tangible line related to urban design, but also an abstract line associated with history and culture.

As the Beijing Central Axis was listed as the candidate for the 2024 World Cultural Heritage in 2022, Yang, inspired by its historical, cultural and natural beauty, produced a series of urban landscape paintings with the axis as the motif.

As a pioneer of Chinese urban landscape painting, Yang focuses on the perfect combination of cultural and natural landscapes along the axis in his works. The exhibition will last until October 15.
