More than 280 Chinese citizens had been trapped in the southern region of Israel, particularly in Sderot since Oct 7. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed the Chinese Embassy in Israel to take immediate action and make every effort to evacuate them. As of now, all the trapped individuals have been successfully evacuated, and some of the personnel in Sderot have already returned to China on commercial flights, FM spokesperson Mao Ning said on Friday.

According to preliminary statistics, over 1,000 Chinese citizens have left Israel and returned to China or arrived in a third country since the outbreak of the conflict, Mao said, noting that Chinese Foreign Ministry will continue to do the best to assist Chinese citizens.
