Over 40 paintings are on display in a new exhibition of the works of Chinese artist Zhao Yue, in Beijing's 798 Art Zone.
Titled Break the Boundary, the exhibition is being held at Meilun Art Museum, with Ge Yujun, Wang Xiaohui and Sun Dake as the curators.
Ge explained that "break the boundary" not only means the multiple attempts from the artist, but also represents the artist's growth, experience and life.
In the eyes of Sun, the exhibition marks a presentation and summary of the artist's work in a certain period as well as the beginning of a new phase.
Zhao said that he focused on two things, the introduction of water ink paintings and how to transfer different experiences into his creations. "I will continue to explore and develop in my artistic work," said Zhao.
