Students at a university in Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan Province, recreated the Tang Palace Night Banquet with fallen leaves on Tuesday, hoping to better spread traditional Chinese culture.
Professor Zhao from the same college said that, using fallen leaves as a carrier, students can utilize their spare time to discover beauty around them, and then create beauty on their own. In addition, this is a form of re-creation of traditional culture, according to Zhao.
Online video shows students using fallen leaves to decorate ancient people's dresses, drawing other parts of the characters, and writing poems beside them. Finally, they put the artwork in a picture frame. Netizens praised the students' works as being visually appealing and impressive, and they believe that this activity is a meaningful way to promote traditional culture.
