Multiple US chip enterprises at the sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE) have brought their latest research results and products, showing positive sentiment about China's consumption potential and economic development.

Intel and Qualcomm have attended all six CIIEs since the first in 2018. Zhou Bing, vice president of Intel and general manager of Intel China, told the Global Times on Monday that the US chip enterprise has established the most extensive layout in China, apart from the US, including a large-scale production facility in Chengdu and a research and development center in Shanghai.

"The Chinese market plays an important role in Intel's global development," said Zhou, noting that China has a large and fast-developing digital economy, and Intel is willing to support China's digital economy development.

Qualcomm has debuted multiple new technologies and products at the CIIE, including its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Generated Content. In addition, Qualcomm also revealed cooperation with Chinese companies in areas including 5G and AI-based smartphones, vehicles, computers, wireless headsets and wearable devices.

An engineer from US semiconductor company Analog Devices told the Global Times that the company's chip business is deeply integrated with batteries. "China has world leading new-energy battery suppliers, and is one of the most important battery suppliers in the world," said the engineer, adding that this comprehensive industrial chain allows Analog Devices to innovate.
