According to media reports, a man from Chifeng, North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, placed candies inside a snowman's belly on Monday, offering them for free to passers-by.

The man surnamed Zhao said that he wanted to build an interesting snowman and dig a hole in its belly to place some candies for passers-by to take for free. "I wanted this snowman to serve a purpose, so I dug a hole in its belly. But at first, people were too shy to take the candies," Zhao said. Therefore, the man put some dolls inside and filmed the snowman to share on social media platform Douyin.

According to Zhao, his video was watched by many people on the Internet, and there were even people who come specifically to get candies. "Everyone is very happy after getting them, and some even take videos as a memento," he said.

A lady, after taking the candy, bought some other candies herself and voluntarily added them to the snowman's belly, Zhao said. Netizens commented that these actions can make people feel warm in cold winter.
