Beijing's Xicheng district on Friday launched a talent recruitment project to attract global talent. The fund for the recruitment will be up to 100 million yuan ($13.72 million) per year.
The announcement was made at the ongoing Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2023, and the funding is the most substantial the district has launched so far. People or departments that help with talent introduction can be awarded as much as 1 million yuan.
A maximum of 100,000 yuan will be awarded for individual scientific research projects and a maximum of 300,000 yuan for team projects. Units that establish youth training bases will be given a subsidy of up to 100,000 yuan per year, and organizers of influential talent activities in Xicheng district will be given a subsidy of up to 500,000 yuan per year.
Su Yi, a member of the recruitment department at QI-ANXIN Technology Group Inc, said the project will be a big help for the company's future development, and it will help in drawing more talent to Xicheng district.
Thanks to Xicheng district's favorable business environment and talent development environment, the company has attracted high-level scientific research and technical talent. The company has 1,173 people with master's degrees and 48 people with doctoral degrees.
At China Life Asset Management Co, more than 90 percent of the staffers have masters or doctoral degrees.
Zhang Xiaoyan, associate dean at the PBC School of Finance with Tsinghua University, said that the project will provide new momentum for the high-quality development of the regional financial industry.
