The biggest ice and snow theme park to incorporate Winterfell of ‘Game of Thrones’ in NE China’s Harbin

Harbin Ice and Snow World have been incorporating scenes from Winterfell of Game of Thrones in this year's winter gala festival, according to its recent official reply at the message board for leaders of People's Daily online. 

The launch comes amid one netizen posting advice on the message board for leaders platform writing that "The host could build a Winterfell of Game of Thrones at the Harbin Ice and Snow World this year" "Build a stunning wall and put an Iron Throne in it. This will spread fast throughout China without a doubt," the netizen added. 

"The classic scenes of Winterfell from the American TV series Game of Thrones have been designed to blend with the Ice and Snow park plan without involving copyright issues," Harbin Madieer Cultural Tourism Group responded. 

This is the not the first time that the Harbin Ice and Snow World theme park has blended with the elements of the hot movie and television series. From Frozen to Journey to the West, the host has built incorporated features that have deeply captivated numerous visitors.

The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival is an annual winter gala held in Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. It features large-scale ice and snow sculptures, long slides made entirely of ice and snow, and numerous other recreational facilities.

This year's festival will build the biggest scale ice and snow park, the overall planning area of the park is 81.66 hectares and there are six creative designs, seven scenes highlights and nine topic areas, according to the introduction at the Heilongjiang Province winter tourism promotion with Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area in Guangzhou city on November 3.

The Harbin Ice and Snow World is considered to be the largest ice and snow festival and theme park in the world due to its scale and duration. Meanwhile, the Harbin Ice Lantern Art Fair, which is listed as an intangible cultural heritage has a long history in the city.
